Gary Kimball, Director of Public Relations

Gary Kimball is president of Kimball Communications. He has nearly 30 years experience in public relations and is a recognized expert in crisis communications planning and response. A frequent speaker on crisis management and related issues, Gary also serves on the board of directors of the Insurance Marketing and Communications Association (IMCA).
Before founding Kimball Communications, Gary served in senior public relations roles, including his position from 1988-1994 as director of corporate communications for Independence Bancorp, a $3 billion financial services company. There he led an award-winning public relations, investor relations and crisis communications program.
Gary is a frequent speaker at industry events including the A.M. Best IMAS Conference, IMCA Annual Conference and the American Camp Association’s (ACA) National and Tri-State Conferences, where he speaks annually on crisis response and moderates a medical issues forum. In 2010, he also moderated a panel of infectious disease experts on the impact of H1N1.
For 12 years, he was an adjunct professor of communications at Muhlenberg College and DeSales University. A former journalist, he has a master’s degree in journalism from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in government from Colby College.
